dmXLAN Switch 6

dmXLAN switches form the backbone of the network distribution system. The dmXLAN Switch 6 has been specifically designed for live entertainment applications, where a mixture of data protocols would otherwise overload and saturate commercially available network switches.

The dmXLAN Switch 6 is a passively cooled network switch with six 10/100/1000 Mbit PoE(+) ports. PTPv2 support enables precise time synchronization across networked devices, forming a reliable basis for time-critical applications such as intercom systems, audio-over-IP, and broadcast infrastructure.

Its rugged form factor, including an M10 thread and safety attachment points, makes the switch suitable for mounting in almost any situation.

Programming is quick and straightforward, either directly on the local display or remotely using our free dmXLAN software.

  • Real-time backup loops
  • 4 1Gbps EtherCON Network Ports with PoE (802.3af-2003 Standard) on the front with RGB LED
  • PoE(+) ports on all ports, with a total budget of up to 90W, conform IEEE 802.3af (15.4W) and IEEE 802.3at (30W)
  • LED indicators per port, switchable to show link status and PoE(+) budget and can be turned completely off
  • PTPv2 (IEEE 1588-2008) End-to-End (E2E) Transparent Clock (TC) (enabled by default, no configuration needed)
  • Supports multicast and unicast PTPv2 messages
  • Jumbo packets up to 9000 bytes
  • 1 QoS queue per port
  • Monitoring using dmXLAN v4 (this feature will be enabled in future firmware updates)
  • Robust metal housing with M10 thread for attachment and latch options for safety wire
